It is the 27th of October and I’m enjoying my Summer break in sunny Portugal. Yes, Summer break and yes it is 28 C in Setubal, Portugal.
Thanks to Clare (who scheduled this time-off 3 months ago) I am able to enjoy a short but amazing break in Portugal. While I’m here I’ve been resting, going for walks on mountain or beach, cycling, eating gourmet Portuguese food and tasting some great wines.
We went to Alentejo and Setubal, South of Lisbon. My other half is amazed with the landscape and the tasty yet simple food that both regions have to offer.
We cannot believe the amazing weather we’ve had these 5 days. The sunset in Praia da Comporta is just absolutely stunning and romantic! 🙂
We loved it so much that we decided to organise a small Gourmet Retreat for 2015. Will you join me?
Most of you would know Portugal mostly because of the Algarve which does have its charm especially Tavira, my favourite town of the area. But it is time to discover some of the hidden gems of my beautiful country. So watch this space as we will unveil new adventures for 2015.
In the meantime enjoy the pictures on our Facebook page and feel free to ask me for tips on where to go next year for your holiday or even a weekend break in Portugal.
Expect a fully recharged Physiotherapist when I start again with my treatments and classes in early November. Clare is working away on our Classes waiting list and booking people for January 2015 already. I’m excited to teach 10 classes per week it is just a pity that we still couldn’t find a bigger studio. Hopefully we will in 2015?
November will bring new classes to our mums and babies at Physiofit Woman. We will be launching Mother & Baby Yoga with Dalila (end of November) and Kids Yoga with Katerina. Months of preparation will result in fun activities for children and some time off for some busy mums!
Continuing to innovate in the Oncology and Lymphoedema rehabilitation field, Physiofit Woman is proud to introduce a new treatment to Ireland: Pressotherapy. The treatment itself is not new, in fact I’m familiar with this treatment since college time, 21 years ago! Boy I’m getting old! 🙂
Yet, only now Ireland will have a Physiotherapy Clinic that can provide the complete care for Lymphoedema. Lympha Press is a state of the art equipment that will help manage primary or secondary Lymphoedema. With different settings and an easy to follow programming Lympha Press offers any Lymphoedema patient a gentle yet effective treatment. As a Secondary Lymphoedema patient myself I might add that it is also very relaxing. This works as a mechanical Lymphatic Drainage. While I’m lying on the treatment table I just allow the long pair of boots to work its magic through the pressure wave-like therapy.
By introducing our new Pressotherapy treatment, together with all our Lymphoedema services such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Multi-layer Bandaging, Compression therapy, and exercise and advice, we are now offering a unique approach for the treatment and management of Lymphoedema.
Not only we are the only Physiotherapy Clinic in Ireland to offer the Lympha Press but we are also the agent for Ireland. So patients and clinics around Ireland can get in touch with us with the view of acquiring your very own professional Pressotherapy equipment.
We have 8 weeks until Christmas so our November promotion will be all about shaping up for the party season! Get in to your Little Black Dress with our Christmas Package, 6 slimming treatments and 4 private Pilates sessions for only €555 saving €275 in total.
Don’t miss this chance and book your Little Black Dress special offer by the 30th November. Apologies but we are very busy in the clinic so we can only offer 10 special ladies this amazing Christmas package.
I will see you all next week and in the meanwhile healthy wishes from sunny Portugal. 🙂
