Expecting mums are invited to share their expectations, worries and experiences in a safe and nurturing environment while learning how to prepare physically and mentally for labour. The knowledge and benefits gained in this Antenatal Physio-Pilates Programme is invaluable and a “must” to any pregnant woman to stay active, fit and pain free during her pregnancy and beyond.
This Programme is being taught in Dublin for the last 13 years by our Chartered Physiotherapist Deborah Fernandes, MISCP. Deborah’s work as a Physiotherapist is about helping expecting mums to enjoy their pregnancy to the full with minimum pains and complaints that we all know it can be common during pregnancy. But just because it is common doesn’t really mean that any mum-to-be needs to put up with it! Deborah’s experience in treating pregnancy back pain, pelvic girdle pain, incontinence and other ailments helped her to develop and modify the exercises included in this Antenatal Physiolates Programme, making them safe and effective.
Physiofit Woman Community continues to grow as our families have their second, third and even fourth child, continuing to choose us as part of their Healthcare providers – this is a real testament on the effectiveness of our services here at Physiofit Woman!
