Posture & Pelvic Floor Workshop
The Fundamental Workshop for any woman who wants to learn about posture and pelvic floor and compulsory if you are new to Physiofit Woman Physio-Pilates Classes and Physiotherapy Services.
This workshop can be used as a single session and it is mandatory if you wish to participate on our exclusive Physiolates Programmes for beginners, pregnant, postnatal or post-mastectomy women.
Can you believe that your posture can actually cause you Back Pain, Sciatica Pain or even Neck Pain?
If you do believe it, you need to do this workshop and if you don’t believe it…you really need to attend this workshop!
This workshop will resonate with those who are suffering from chronic back pain and they have tried everything else from pain killers, treatments and exercise and no result! If you tried everything else and your doctor already mentioned back pain surgery, please consider attending this workshop as this will serve you as a good foundation for a speedy recovery.
Sometimes we notice that we may not have “the best posture” but we also don’t have pain. That is fantastic!
Unfortunately, here at Physiofit Woman a client only reaches us when they have tried everything else, are in absolute agony and desperate not knowing where to go or what else to do! This is where we come in, Physiofit Woman’ unique approach is here to help you!
Fortunately, for us Physiofit Woman, the results are very positive with patients being able to resume their daily activities and enjoying being mobile and functional again!
Some of us recall our parents saying to us “put your back straight” or “mind your posture”. We all know that it is important to have good posture in sitting or standing position and that we need to have a “strong” pelvic floor. But what does that really mean? And how can we achieve it?
In this three hour workshop, you will be guided step-by-step on how to achieve optimum body alignment or what we call the Neutral posture. You will learn about the:
- “sway back”
- “turtle neck”
- “duck butt”
- and other posture imbalances that may be causing you pain and discomfort.
Once you identify what type of posture you have you can start re-aligning your body.
With this new found knowledge, you will understand if your posture is the actually culprit of your pain (or not) and if it is, can you imagine the impact of learning how to realign the body in order to improve or reduce your pain will have in your day-to day routine?
You will also learn about the all important pelvic floor muscles that no one wants to talk about it but we really have to cover them so you know:
- where they are
- what they do
- how to exercise them safely.
What you will gain from this workshop is a valuable tool that you can use for the rest of your life to improve your posture, minimise back pain and sciatica pain, reduce stiffness and general joint pain.
It is a tool that you can start practicing immediately and the more you practice the better you will get at it and the easier it will be to obtain the right alignment. You will feel your muscles working in a different way, you will become more body aware, and ultimately you will feel empowered and in control of your own body.
Improving your body alignment will have an impact on your physical and mental well-being and on your performance, not just in exercise and sports but in your everyday life.
Important Note: This Workshop is mandatory if you want to join our Pilates classes or our Physiotherapy services. This is still valid even if you are a Pilates/Yoga instructor or you have been doing Pilates for many years.
This Workshop is what sets Physiofit Woman apart from any other Healthcare provider. It gives you the foundations that you require to understand about your body and ultimately about your pain (if you are in pain).
