Are you Pregnant?
Did you just have a baby?
Can you believe that your posture can actually cause you Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP), Back Pain, Sciatica Pain or even Neck Pain?
If you do believe it, you need to do this workshop and if you don’t believe it…you really need to attend this workshop!
The Pregnancy Posture and Pelvic Floor workshop will resonate with those who are now pregnant or had a baby and are suffering from pain in their pelvis, pubic area, hips, lower back or general back pain. You feel discomfort or pain when:
- Walking
- In/out of the bed
- Turning in bed
- Up/down the stairs
- In/out of car
- In/out of bathtub
- etc
You have tried using the pelvic belt and even crutches but the pain is still present and does not respond to painkillers either. If you tried everything else, please consider attending this workshop as this will serve you as a good foundation for addressing the pain and also give you practical solutions that you can start implementing in your daily routine immediately.
Unfortunately, here at Physiofit Woman a client only reaches us when they have tried everything else, are in absolute agony and desperate not knowing where to go or what else to do! This is where we come in, Physiofit Woman’ unique approach is here to help you!
Fortunately, for us Physiofit Woman, the results are very positive with maternity patients being able to resume their daily activities relatively quickly and enjoying being mobile and functional again!
Some of us recall our parents saying to us “put your back straight” or “mind your posture”. We all know that it is important to have good posture in sitting or standing position and that we need to have a “strong” pelvic floor. But what does that really mean? And how can we achieve it?
In this three hour workshop, you will be guided step-by-step on how to achieve optimum body alignment or what we call the Neutral posture. You will learn about the:
-
- “hunchback”
- “sway back”
- “turtle neck”
- “duck butt”
- and other posture imbalances that may be causing you pain and discomfort.
Once you identify what type of posture you have you can start re-aligning your body.
With this new found knowledge, you will understand if your posture is the actually culprit of your pain (or not) and if it is, can you imagine the impact of learning how to realign the body in order to improve or reduce your pain will have in your day-to day routine?
What you will gain from this workshop is a valuable tool that you can use for the rest of your life to improve your posture, minimise back pain and sciatica pain, reduce stiffness and general joint pain.
It is a tool that you can start practicing immediately and the more you practice the better you will get at it and the easier it will be to obtain the right alignment. You will feel your muscles working in a different way, you will become more body aware, and ultimately you will feel empowered and in control of your own body.
Improving your body alignment will have an impact on your physical and mental well-being and on your performance, during your pregnancy and also during your postnatal period.
How is Your Pelvic Floor?
If you want to learn more about your Pelvic Floor Muscles, this workshop is for you! The Pelvic Floor Workshop is included in the Pregnancy Posture Workshop.
Important Note: The pregnancy posture and pelvic floor Workshop is mandatory if you want to join our Physio-Pilates classes (Beginners, Pregnancy, Postnatal) or our Physiotherapy services. This is still valid even if you are a Pilates/Yoga instructor or you have been doing Pilates for many years.
The Pregnancy Posture & Pelvic Floor Workshop is what sets Physiofit Woman apart from any other Healthcare provider. It gives you the foundations that you require to understand about your body and ultimately about your pain (if you are in pain). It is also the entrance ticket to our Physiotherapy services, meaning that we will not accept new patients for Physiotherapy with our Chartered Physiotherapist Deborah Fernandes without the completion of the Pregnancy Posture and Pelvic Floor Workshop.
